COLOURFUL BOLLYWOOD NIGHT OF GENDER COMMITTEE, MOSTYN ESTATE

Mostyn Estate’s Gender Committee held its Annual Dinner at Mostyn’s Community Hall on 8th April 2017 and more than 200 members turned up, dressed to the theme of ‘Bollywood’. Mostyn Estate’s management team also been invited as the VVIP guests of the night.

The evening dazzled right from the start with aerobic dance, welcoming dance of medley 20 songs, officiate ceremony gimmick, best dressed competition and some enjoyable games and dance performances presented on the stage. What made the night special was the songs played, 100% Hindi songs from various Bollywood hit movies. Everyone dressed up with colourful Bollywood dresses such as saree, Punjabi’s and kurta, ready to be picked as Best Dressed GC Mostyn 2017.

This was a precious opportunity for Gender Committee Mostyn members to dine together with various kind of meals shared by all members who attended the night (pot-luck style), following a heart-warming opening speech by Puan Sa’umah Binti Eric, Gender Committee Mostyn Chairperson and officiate speech by Puan Norsiah Binti Abdul Wahab, Gender Committee Mostyn Main Advisor.

Guests were entertained with numbers of dance performances, performed by Mostyn’s Aerobic Instructors Team, workers’ children and Gender Committee Mostyn members itself. The Best Dressed GC Mostyn 2017 competition supplied plenty of amazement, with each gorgeous contestant winning a prize for their willingness to spend more money to be looked as beautiful as Hema Malini, Kajol, Aishwarya Rai and etc. The winner goes to my sweet mom!
*clap clap clap!*

But the most meaningful part of the evening was perhaps the Stick & Holi Dance, which showing the happiness and how the relationship among our members have grown tighter, better and stronger over the years. It served as a perfect reminder for all of us that Gender Committee Mostyn values and appreciates every single member of the team and all members were welcomed to participate freely in all activities organized.

The night drew to a close as Tuan Saifullizan Bin Kamaruddin, Senior Manager of Mostyn Estate and Uncle Zai, our main sponsor presented prizes and souvenirs to all winners and performers. All in all, it was a wonderfully colourful Bollywood Night filled with excellent food and endless happiness. Special thanks to Uncle Zai and Etta as the main sponsors to make this dream became true.

The most important people behind all the greatness of the nite were us, Instructors Team! We were, we are and we will always be the best! Big applause to us! Thanks Nordin, Kak Peni, Kak Misa and Kak Enceng for all the sacrifices, efforts and willingness to be a part of our awesome history. See you guys again in Retro Night! Staying Alive!!!
